BSOD installation - PNF_LIST_CORRUPT

When I try and install Vista (the x86 version) at some point during the "Expanding Files" stage of the installation, the installer will go to a BSOD which says PNF_LIST_CORRUPT and some useless advice. Has anyone else had this problem when installing Vista? It can't be a problem with the disc - it has worked fine before.

try unplugging any not needed devices (printer, UPS, etc...), and in the bios, disable any not needed devices (usb, serial, parallel, etc...) try again.

Especially any UPS usb cabling. "mikeyhsd" wrote in message try unplugging any not needed devices (printer, UPS, etc...), and in the bios, disable any not needed devices (usb, serial, parallel, etc...) try again.
